Jonah Hill recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss his directorial debut, Mid90s, which is out in theaters next week. A distinguished aspect of the coming-of-age flick is certainly the soundtrack, which features a Morrissey song.
“We didn’t have money and the soundtrack is crazy. We had no money, so I had to write letters to all of my favorite artists … Every song that’s in the film, I wrote the scene to have that song in it,” the actor explained. “And I wrote to Morrissey, and I wrote him a really personal letter, and he emailed back, ‘It is my pleasure and I can’t wait to see Mid90s, Morrissey.’ All caps … I was like, Morrissey knows what Mid90s is! He said the words Mid90s! Morrissey is my best friend! We are best friends! I’m best friends with Morrissey!”
He also discussed never actually meeting Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who composed the film's score--though they Skyped, talked on the phone and texted frequently. When asked what Reznor was like, Hill raved, "He’s the most dry, funny person I’ve ever met. He’s one of my heroes."

When it comes to Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), the mysteries just keep adding up on The Flash! Not only do we still have no explanation for why Nora is so frosty with Iris (Candice Patton), we're now faced with the possibility that Nora's big decision to change the past might not have been entirely her own.
As we expected, Vibe (Carlos Valdes) didn't actually die in this week's episode, morbidly titled "The Death of Vibe," but he did go head-to-head with Cicada (Chris Klein). Thanks to their brief encounter last episode, Cicada zeroed in on Vibe as his next target, even torturing Joe (Jesse L. Martin) for information on the masked vigilante. Thanks to an assist from the new version of Harrison Wells, Sherloque Wells (Tom Cavanagh), and some fast thinking from Nora, Team Flash was able to fake Vibe's death to get Cicada off their backs, but something tells us that's only a temporary fix.
Sherloque Wells lived up to his name in every way though, deducing secrets about all of our characters thanks to small shifts in behavior, body language and even their shoes! We'd love to say Iris' removed tattoo was the most shocking revelation of the night, but sadly, that award goes to Nora.
Discover your new favorite show: Watch This Now!
In the final scene of the episode, Sherloque questioned Nora about her decision to travel back to the past to witness some of her parents greatest moments, both joyous and dangerous, but the one he just couldn't seem to make his mind up about was her decision to intervene to help destroy the Thinker's satellite attack in the Season 4 finale. "That decision... did you come to it on your own?" Sherloque asked her with the intensity of someone who already knew the answer. Going off of Nora's stunned (and very guilty-looking) silence, we'd have to say someone else may have been aware of her time-traveling shenanigans all along. Not only that, this person even weighed in on her decision to cause such a huge change to the timeline. But who could it have been?
That's a question for another day, but if there was someone else involved, that would explain why Nora was so panicked and guilty about creating a new version of Cicada thanks to her intervention. Rather than working with her dad and the team to fix the mistake, she tried to take it on all by herself, often making very rash and unwise decisions. Seems like the act of a guilty speedster hoping not to get caught keeping secrets, right?
Who do you think Nora's potential partner in time traveling crime could be?
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.

Last Thursday I had the honor of attending the Global Press Conference for the Incredibles 2 at the London in West Hollywood. In attendance was writer/director Brad Bird, producers Nicole Grindle and John Walker, and the rest of the cast which included Craig T. Nelson (Bob), Holly Hunter (Helen), Sam L. Jackson (Frozone), Bob Odenkirk (Winston Deavor), Catherine Keener (Evelyn Deavor), Sophia Bush (Voyd), Sarah Vowell (Violet), and Huck Milner (Dash). The junket was also moderated by film critic and producer Scott Mantz.
Here’s everything I learned from the junket about the making of the Incredibles 2, from what went on behind the scenes during production to Brad Bird’s initial story inspiration.
The Incredibles 2 comes to theaters this Friday! Be sure to let us know what you think of the film below and on Twitter! We can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

Opening night will set the tone for Veronica's newest business venture. After weeks of getting the speakeasy ready, she is about to open her bar on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 3.
When she bought Pop Tate's Chock'lit Shoppe from Hiram, the future businesswoman had several plans in mind to make the establishment a thriving location. One of those ideas was turning the space under the Chock'lit Shoppe into a speakeasy bar. It all seemed like an early concept instead of a possibility.
Now, that idea has turned into a reality!
Based on the preview photos below, the speakeasy's doors are finally open. All of her closest friends have come to support her, and her few enemies have joined in the celebrations too. But, will the opening night be a complete success?
Check out the photos below from "Chapter Thirty-Eight: As Above, So Below," which airs Wednesday, October 24 on The CW.
And don't forget, you can watch Riverdale online via TV Fanatic to get caught up on all the drama.
As part of Veronica's plans, she wants to open a brand new speakeasy under Pop Tate's Chock'lit Shoppe. All of her hard work seems to have paid off; the place looks ready to open its doors.
Veronica is not happy. Several roadblocks keep popping up that are preventing her from opening up the speakeasy on time. Could someone be causing these interferences? Might it be Hiram?
Everyone has turned up for the big day! The bar is set, the outfits are glam, and the live entertainment has the talent to light up the stage. The place seems ready to go, but from the look of their expressions, trouble might be on the horizon.
Hiram should probably enjoy his single glass for as long as possible because his daughter doesn't like to have him around anymore.
An eclectic group of individuals has come out for the speakeasy's first night, including the villainous Penny Peabody. Will she cause trouble for the big night?
The big musical talent for the first night: Josie McCoy. She has the vocals to bring down the house, and the presence to light up the stage.

HBO
Earlier this year, numerous Game of Thrones actors, both current (characters still alive) and former (characters dead), reunited in Belfast for a special hosted by Conan O’Brien. It was originally unknown when fans would be able to see Sean Bean give fatherly advice to Maisie Williams again, but Entertainment Weekly reports that the special will be included in the Game of Thrones complete series home video box set. That’s 73 episodes, plus the reunion, plus whatever else HBO deems worthy of including in a dragon-shaped box (I assume). It’s the only way to watch the get-together, too: there are no plans for the special to air on HBO.
“As for which actors participated, we know the cast of the final season was heavily involved in the reunion,” according to EW. “What’s less clear is who stopped by from past seasons aside from Bean, who played Ned Stark in season one (and whose comments to a reporter leaked word of the special). We also know Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) was in Belfast earlier this year, but he’s been known to visit the set simply as a fan and friend of the show.”
It ain’t a party without the Aqua Daddy. Anyway, the complete series box set will be released following the series finale, obviously, which will air around May or June 2019. Until then, rewatch the last time Conan spoke to the Thrones cast.

Survivor‘s 37th season has been one of biblical proportions, pitting disadvantaged underdogs (aka “Davids”) against dominant powerhouses (aka “Goliaths”). Two Davids and four Goliaths remained atop Wednesday’s full-night finale, appropriately titled “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility,” but only one would get to leave Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands as the show’s Sole Survivor.
Kara Kay, 30, Angelina Keeley, 28, Alison Raybould, 28, Davie Rickenbacker, 30, Mike White, 47, and Nick Wilson, 27, began the season ender with an equal shot at victory, though their numbers began to dwindle shortly into the finale. Following a series of physical and mental challenges, plus a few of the season’s most agonizing choices the tribunal said goodbye to Davie (gasp!), Alison and Kara, leaving only Nick, Angelina and Mike in the game.
The remaining three castaways anxiously assembled for the final tribunal meeting, where the jury — which was largely “undecided” at this point, according to Elizabeth — assembled to was waiting to hear their final statements. Nick admitted to forming one-on-one alliances “with a lot of people,” even referencing a few of them by name; Angelina apologized for “not being authentic” with some of her fellow competitors; and Mike simply explained that he “would rather have threats in the game that were willing to work with [him].”
The final three also did some significant soul searching, with Mike nearly breaking down in tears, telling the jury, “They say every rainbow has a pot of gold at the end. But for me, it was never about the pot of gold. It was always the rainbow.” (Can somebody crochet that onto a pillow for me?) And, yes, Angelina brought up the rice.
Then came the votes. And the tears. And in one voter’s case, some light tripping. Here’s how the votes, read live from Los Angeles, shook out: Six votes for Nick, three votes for Mike and zero votes for Angelina — making Nick Wilson this season’s winner.
Now that Survivor‘s war between Davids and Goliaths have at last come to an end, do you think the right player won Season 37? Cast your vote in the poll below, then drop a comment with your full review of Wednesday’s finale.

The man, the myth, the moustache: When you’re a legendary figure like This Is Us‘ Jack Pearson, a little thing like death isn’t going to stop you from imparting wisdom, doling out hugs and wearing ’80s-era flannel like it’s your job.
Fans of the NBC drama saw as much in Tuesday’s episode, where Milo Ventimiglia’s Jack showed up in a dream while Kate had her eggs surgically harvested in hopes of someday becoming a mom. (By the way, did you see this deleted scene?) The fantasy sequence made us nostalgic for the other times that Papa Pearson has shown up in visions, hallucinations and the like. And because we like a challenge, we’ve ranked Jack’s post-mortem appearances in order of how much they helped his family.
Before you click on the gallery below, a few notes. We did not include flashbacks, because a) those took place before Jack died and b) the gallery would be encyclopedia-long if we catalogued every single time the Pearson patriarch popped up on screen. But in one case, we did include something that seemed like a hallucination but was later revealed as something else. Hey, our ranking, our rules, right?
Take a look at the gallery at right — or go to it directly here — to see how we ordered things. And then hit the comments with your thoughts (or any moments we might’ve missed!).
